Daniel Roth Le Sentier Salmon Dial Ref S177 Full Set
Daniel Roth Le Sentier Salmon Dial Ref S177 Full Set
I would encourage anyone to experience the double ellipse case shape in person before deciding if you like the classic Daniel Roth offerings, as they are fantastic in the metal. That statement is exponentially imperative if the watch in question is the Le Sentier on the integrated bracelet. Classical watchmaking meets steampunk and 80’s electronic music in an extremely well-refined package.
Case: The 35 x 46 x 8.5 mm stainless steel case is in excellent condition throughout. These double ellipse cases wear so well on a wide range of wrist sizes and the integrated bracelet lends some extra lug to lug length and presence for those seeking more oomph.
Dial: The most coveted of all Daniel Roth dials, the salmon guilloche is in excellent condition, heartbreakingly attractive, and the perfect backdrop for the heat blued, lume-filled hands.
Movement: A Girard-Perregaux GP3100 automatic movement is used, a robust movement that was highly-regarded and used across the manufacturer’s catalog to showcase their watchmaking ability. It is winding, setting, hacking, and changing date correctly, and running well at approximately – 7s/d averaged across 6 positions.
Bracelet: The integrated bracelet is decidedly a statement, but what’s not immediately understood, is how robust, refined, comfortable, and good it feels. The angle from the initial attachment to the case may exhibit some variance to wrist size accommodations, but this one will fit a wrist approximately between 6.75 – 6.875” in circumference.
Includes: Outer and inner boxes, guarantee, and even the leather(!) hang tag.
