Breguet Classique Reference 3910 in White Gold with Papers
Breguet Classique Reference 3910 in White Gold with Papers
Perhaps the ultimate modern take on the Breguet Classique, this watch gives you all the distinctly “Breguet” design, features, finishing, and characteristics; the DNA of what makes these watches feel so special on wrist, but without the “old gold”, resulting in a watch that feels very fresh, modern, and current.
It almost strikes me as the classic Swiss equivalent of the Lange Saxonia I had in blue dial, reference 219.028. The white gold case and big Roman numerals are very clean, bright, and modern, with the brushed silver minutes and seconds tracks providing additional brightness and warmth to contrast the clous-de-Paris guilloche pattern, all of which provide the perfect backdrop for the deeply saturated blued hands to shine.
Reference: 3910BB/15/286 or 3910
Case: the 34.5mm solid 18K white gold case is in very good condition, measuring approximately 7mm thick and 40.8mm lug to lug. The case is extremely clean throughout with minimal wear and some typical surface swirl marks. Hallmarks are deep and crisp on the caseback, back of lug, and buckle.
Dial: The solid silver dial is the star of the show, as with any Classique from this era, featuring engine turned (not stamped) guilloche work and the radially brushed metallic minutes and seconds tracks, trapezoidal hour markers with matching signature at 12, and the most saturated blued hands. The restraint, negative space, and high quality finishing absolutely make this watch.
Movement: The hand wound Breguet Caliber 818/5 is running well and keeping excellent time. From my research, I believe this to be a modified JLC base caliber.
Includes: This watch is presented on its original, signed black croc strap with white gold Breguet pin buckle. The original signed and dated certificate of origin and warranty booklet is also included, indicating the watch was sold in 2005.
