Breguet Classique Reference 3300 or 3300BA12286

$8,700.00

At least lately for me, it just doesn’t get better than neo-vintage Breguet. Unique, often quirky, but also historic and timeless designs, excellent finishing, quality, and details, and so thin and wonderfully sized. I particularly love the off-center and very harmonious signature on this one, it’s very quirky and unusual, but still some timelessly “Breguet”.

Case: 32.5mm solid 18K gold case is in very good condition, measuring approximately 6mm thick(!) and 37.5mm lug to lug. Case is extremely clean throughout with minimal wear and some typical surface swirl marks. Hallmarks are deep and crisp. The early cabachon crown is also clean.

Dial: The solid silver dial is the star of the show, as with any Classique from this era, featuring engine turned (not stamped) guilloche work and the radially brushed metallic hour and seconds tracks, sunken metallic moonphase disc, and the most saturated blued hands. The restraint, negative space, and high quality finishing absolutely make this watch. Add in the early dial configuration of just the small Swiss signature below 6 and it just doesn’t get much cleaner.

Movement: The hand wound Breguet Caliber 530LH is running well and keeping excellent time. From my research, I believe this to be a modified JLC base caliber 818/4.

Includes: This watch is presented on a brown croc “CF Made in Paris” strap with the original gold buckle featuring deep, crisp hallmarks.

Notes: Breguet has confirmed this watch was produced and sold in 1996 to The Swatch Group Gallery PTY LTD in Sydney, Australia.
