I'm back with another edition of the sub register. I don't necessarily have a theme this week other than some cool vintage watches that stood out from the ordinary up for grabs. As always, if you see anything worth mentioning, and want to share, contact me to get it added to the roundup!

Like patina? This multichron might be the lowest cost of entry to the fantastic world of Gallet Multichrons without being damaged. A watch that has long been on my list, but I was a little late to the game as prices began to climb, the Gallet Multichron was synonymous with auto racing back in the day and is synonymous with being a killer chrono presently. I’ve long heard that the Excelsior Park 40-68 manual wind, column wheel chronograph movement is even more sublime to use than the Valjoux 72, and this one is clean and is said to be running well. The spotting and slight dirtiness to the dial keeps cost of entry low, and to some this might be a draw. This is a particularly early piece with the square pushers, snap back, and what I suspect could be radium lume, which might also be why the fantastic blue steel syringe hands have kept their lume. It’s nearing Christmas so everyone should be putting together their wish lists for Santa, right? And part of any overly giddy wish list is something of grail status. Well, this odd beast is just that. Being sold by a very well regarded collector, this second generation Universal Geneve Space Compax is just that type of awesome. Designed to be the kind of watch that could withstand going to space, the Space Compax gains substantial guards to the crown and pushers, and rubber caps on the pushers to increase water resistance as well. This is not a very common watch, and this one is in very good condition. The Tritium dial and hand combination is just killer, and I have always particularly liked this era of UG Chronos (the “Nina Rindt” and “Evil Ninas”) because of those slightly quirky hands. Add complete originality and a serviced Valjoux 72 movement, and I'm not sure it gets a whole lot better, or unique. Let the high-res pictures speak for themselves, this is an other-worldly chronograph for sure. Taking it back down to Earth, this Tudor Prince OysterDate might just be the perfect gift to suggestively leave on your screen, and heck, a special lady might just steal this one from you from time to time. At 38mm in diameter this is certainly a very classy and versatile piece that would look great on pretty much anyone’s wrist, in my humble opinion. Rolex signed crown and caseback and a hacking ETA movement just make this a more affordable vintage datejust and a nice addition or first piece to anyone’s collection. The case looks like it may have seen a polish at some point, but the watch is a modern size, and looks great overall. I personally feel that Tudor, especially vintage Tudor, is a less conspicuous and very classy Rolex alternative, for that sort of connoisseur if you will. Asking $1050 on ChronoTrader here.

I will start by admitting I do not know much about Squale, and know even less about the Italian Navy. However, this is a cool watch, and being that is is only 25 or so years old, you should be able to verify the military provenance as well. Off of gut instinct, I think it's legit based on the time the seller took in disclosing the information and providing the detailed pictures. So why do I like this watch? It's a true tool watch, it was a diver meant for rugged abuse by divers. I love that it is Tritium dial and hands which means it should develop some nice patina overtime, and the fact that it's neo-vintage keeps the price reasonable as well. Pair that with an original Oyster style bracelet and that bit purpose built bezel, and this thing is all business. I love the dial layout and different colored hands, and how they were designed as such for maximum legibility underwater. The watch is recently serviced, and the seller is taking reasonable offers, with an asking price of 1250EUR here.
